Gases in Ingot: We can supply Hydrogen 2PPM (max), Nitrogen 90 PPM (max)& for forging quality Low Carbon grades we can certify 02 content of 25 PPM(max), 20 PPM (max) for medium carbon & Alloy Steel and 15 PPM (max) forhigh carbon grades like ball bearing.
Forging Ratio: We do both Upset & Drawing forging. We ensure 4:1(min)Reduction Ratio & higher reduction Ratio is achieved depending on Raw material(Ingot) size & finish shape and size of job.
Heat Treatment Facility: For imparting quality heat treatment, to the forged products, the shop is equipped with gas fired fully automated P LC controlled heat treatment furnaces ( 2 Nos. each of Slow cooling, Hardening & Tamperingfurnaces); 2Nos. of Quench tanks (water & Oil) with agitation & circulation facility for controlling bath temperature with resistance temperature detector and digital display & 2 Nos. overhead crane for loading & unloading of materials. Temperature Control – PLC managed fully automatic combustion control SCADA monitoring & SCADA Recording of heating cycle graph.
Quality Assurance: We conduct several tests like Internal soundness, Hardness,Dimensions, Magnetic Particle test, dye Penetrant test & Destructive tests suchas Chemical, Microstructures, Grain size, Inclusion, Tensile, Impact (Charpy &Izod) & Jominy End Queen test. Residual Stress measurement can also be doneeither by Ring core Method or X-Ray diffraction Method.
Details are as follows:
Internal Soundness: We can guarantee internal soundness to 2mmFBH. If any customer desires to take below 2mm FBH we can examinethe size, Ingot reduction ration etc. & inform acceptance.
Hardness: We need range of 30 BHN (min.) However in special case20 BHN range can be agreed.
Dimension: Our standard practice for tolerance is +3, -0 in proofmachine drawing except stated otherwise.
Grain size: We guarantee fine grain size of 5-8 as per ASTM. However,most of the time our grain size is ASTM 6-8. For specific requirementof grain size 7-8 we can examine and give acceptance on case to casebasis.
Chemical Composition: We certify the chemical composition as perStandard Emission Spectrometer. Restricted chemistry with 4 pointsofCarbon range, 15 points of Manganes range, 10 point of Cr & Ni canalso be agreed. Sulphur within 0.010% & Phosphorous within 0.015%can also be agreed.
Inclusion Ratings: We do test & certify Inclusion Ratings 1.5(A,B,C,D)Thin & Thick Series(max) as per ASTM E45.
Austenitic Stainless Steel:-: We certify the physical properties as perStandard. However, we can examine special Physical requirement byclients& certify if feasible. We do tests like Tensile by Instron Machine,Impact Test (Charpy & Izod)at Room temperature as well as minustemperature, Hot Tensile & Jominy End Quench Test.
